  9. (My first comment hasn't shown!)
I love fountain pens as they take me back to a time when people used to write with a quill dipped in ink, and I love to watch the ink dry as you write :) x

I recently started using Staedtler Triplus Fineliners in my planner and just love them. I'm lusting after a brush pen though, that's gonna be my next buy ;-)

  11. My favorite type of pen is gel ink ones because the ink is usually so pigmented. They write smooth and dark. However, they tend to bleed or go through the paper in my Filofax, so I tend to look for good ballpoint pens.

    1. The Filofax paper is picky with the pens it likes isn't it! You are no.11 in the draw Gabby :)

  12. I prefer ballpoint pens, these are what I most use daily, and in many colors! I find it much easier to write with them, they are very soft and do not mark through the paper. But i like every kind of pen. :P ♥

  17. I'm all about the fountain pen, the older the better. My oldest is my 1917 Parker slimline duofold, and while it's nib needs serious work, the body and sac are in perfect working order! Quality lasts forever!

  25. Fountain pens are beautiful and my definite favourite, I have a gorgeous peanut wood one with a lovely bottle of dark navy ink for it but as it isn't planner friendly I keep it for special notes etc and use my gel pen in my filo.

  28. Hmm depends on the occasion, paper etc I love a good quality ink pen as they look stylish, are reusable & can be changed up with different ink colours BUT they can smudge, leak etc I like ball point , wider point for a smooth flow & neater handwriting but I love gel pens for how fun & colourful they are, the different effects they can give eg metallic & for tiny writing (like in my 5 lines a day 5 year journal) Lol, basically I just love pens - & now I'm thinking of the League Of Gentleman character ''Pauline'' who was obsessed with pens& whose dream it is to own a pen shop called ''Her Nibs":
Everything I know about people I learned from pens. If they don't work, you shake them. And if they still don't work, you chuck them away. Bin 'em
Hahaha thanks for organising this Amanda! xxx

  29. I prefer a gel rollerball type pen, in black. And weird as it sounds, I kind of like when they're scratchy and grab the page a bit as I write. But, that's not to say that I don't have several smooth gliding rollerball pens as well.
