It is write a letter day and I couldn't think of a better time to tell you about a new app called Inkly Cards. Now I know one of the main aims of National Stationery Week is to get people to pick up a pen so you might think it is a bit strange that I am talking about an app but let me explain why.
Inkly Cards is an app that lets you create and personalise cards and postcards for all occasions. Unlike other companies this app lets you write the message you want by hand and then electronically recreates and prints it so when the recipient opens their card inside they will see your handwriting instead of the usual Ariel or Helvetica fonts. I think that is pretty great!
The app is available on iOS and Android and is free to download and very easy to use.
Simply select the card you want and personalise it.
Next decide if you are going to write the message by hand
or type it.
If you are writing the card by hand these instructions
are easy to follow.
This is the message I wrote for inside my card.
The preview of my card, then I filled out the address details
of where I wanted the card sent to.
A day later my card arrived!

If you order your card before 12pm it should arrive the next working day within the UK and prices start from 99p for a postcard plus 62p postage and go up to £2.99 for a card plus 62p postage. You even get a choice of which colour envelope you would like your card sent in. I went with a pretty pink one to match my card.
I am really happy with the quality of this card and the printing but it is the way the app takes your handwriting from your photo and adds it to the card that impresses me the most. I will definitely be using this app again next time I want to create my own card!
