Mrs Brimbles October photo challenge - final round up

I can't believe October is already over!  I had such a blast taking part in Mrs Brimbles photo challenge and the good news is she will be running another one in December.

Day twenty-two - Colours of autumn

As you may know I'm totally nuts about autumn so I have these colourful leaves as the wallpaper on my phone.

Day twenty-two - colours of autumn

Day twenty-three & twenty-four - Journalling & Autumn decoration

I was playing catch up with this photo so I did two prompts in one shot.  I love using my journalling stamps to record how I am feeling and I think this gold washi tape is perfect for decorating autumn pages.

Day twenty-three & twenty-four - journalling &
autumn decoration

Day twenty-five - Out and about

I was "out and about" on Saturday and spotted these flowers that were the same colour as my aqua Finsbury.

Day twenty-five - out & about

Day twenty-six - Pens of plenty

This is a very small selection of my pen collection!

Day twenty-six - pens of plenty

Day twenty-seven - Changing

The clocks went back an hour the day before I took this shot so I was changing the time on my Alice in Wonderland pocket watch necklace.

Day twenty-seven - changing

Day twenty-eight - Pimp it up

My favourite thing about using a Filofax as my planner is that I can pimp it up and make it my own!

Day twenty-eight - pimp it up

Day twenty-nine - To be read

I have had this book sat on my shelf for a while now and I really do need to sit down and start reading it soon.

Day twenty-nine - to be read

Day thirty - Treat

I have a thing for kawaii jewellery and charms, especially when they are shaped like sweet foodie treats!

Day thirty - treat

Day thirty-one - Halloween

Happy Halloween, I hope you had a good one!  This year I was demoted to cutting the tops off the pumpkins and scooping out the insides, my eldest two children had all the fun carving the faces into them.  Next year I will have to buy one to do myself!

Thanks for stopping by!

My week #28

I love coffee!

Ok, my secret is out... I love coffee!  Especially caramel or mocha flavour with cream on top, stick a green straw in it and I'm one happy, caffeinated, bunny!  When I saw these coffee stickers from Annie's Paper Boutique I just knew I had to buy them for a coffee themed week.

My week in my Filofax #28

I haven't moved back into my Willow Filofax again, I am still using my yellow Original.  The pink and green colours look a lot better against a pink interior so I popped the pages out of the Original and put them in the Willow just for these photos.  Is that cheating?  I guess I'm fussy when it comes to the pics I take.

I tried something new this week using a set of Feeling Happy planner stamps, I really like the idea of keeping track of my feelings but not writing a full diary/journal.  I wrote a bit more about them here for my Design Team post on Twine it up with Trendy Twine if you want to take a look.

I don't think I have shown you my Kawaii Paperie owl paper clip yet, I'm keeping it on the back pocket of my Willow because the colours match perfectly.  It is so cute and makes me smile!

Well I'm off to finish my iced coffee before all the cream melts! Thank you to everyone who asked about my toothache last week, it's all better now.

Thanks for reading and have a great week.

My week #23

If you read my guest post over on Twine it up with trendy twine you will have already seen part of my weekly pages but here is the completed set.  I really like the gold and green together but I did miss my usual colourful look.

My week in my Filofax #23

It was an exciting week for me, as well as my first post on Twine it up I also reached 2000 followers on Instagram.  I know in the world of Instagram that's not a whole lot but it still feels pretty amazing to me!

Sorry this is a short post but I am working on another one I will be publishing later in the week.  Keep an eye out for it because it's about lots of planning goodies!

Thanks for reading!

My week #22

Hello!  I went with a full on girly theme this week as it was my youngest daughter's birthday weekend.  She loves cats and picked these kitty stickers for me to use and pink is her favourite colour.

My week in my Filofax #22

As well as the birthday celebrations it was also the 14th anniversary since I met my husband and it was a school holiday too so the whole week was very family focused.  It was nice to spend time together, though I have quite enjoyed today when it was just me and mini me again.  The house feels so quiet when it is just the two of us compared to the hustle and bustle when everyone is home.

It only feels like two minutes ago that I shared a pic of her 2nd birthday party, time really is flying by!  I am sure if I blink she will suddenly be starting school.  I really can't imagine my little shadow not following me around all day.

Third birthday party

Have a great week!

My week #21

I am so excited to show you this week's pages because I have been using the fabulous At Home Planner Stamp Set that Lesley from Annie's Paper Boutique sent me to try!

My week in my Filofax #21

I have never used planning stamps in my Filofax before, I have only used ones for decorating my pages but after using these for a week I am hooked!  I like how they look on the page and font is similar to the one I use for the titles and pages on this blog so I like it a lot.

I have had fun this week making some bunny paper clips using Mrs Brimbles tutorial.  I could only find some green felt in my sewing box to start with so I made a zombie bunny!  After a bit of hunting around I found an old white baby vest so I cut it up and made a cute, alive, bunny too.  Then while I was browsing Instagram I came across a lady who had been making crochet flower paper clips so I made one of those as well.  I think they came out ok but.... well, the zombie one is my favourite.  I guess it is the Walking Dead fan inside of me!

My week #20

I joined in with a game on Instagram last week, I was given the colour purple and had to take a planner related pic using that colour.  I decided to make it my theme for this week's pages.

My week in my Filofax #20

I thought I was going to have a quiet week but it ended up full of things I had to do.  There was still time for me to watch the season finales of Once Upon A Time and The Blacklist though so I was happy.

On Friday I received some things I am going to be reviewing soon from Mrs Brimbles, I can't wait to show you all the fab things she designs and makes!  I also got a fantastic set of planner stamps from Annie's Paper Boutique.  I have started using the stamps for next week's pages so you will see them then or you can get a sneak peak on Instagram now.

Thanks for reading and have a great week!

My week #19

I went with pretty pastel colours this week, I think they really complement the pink interior of my Willow filo.  I have been toying with the idea of moving back into my yellow Original but when it comes down to it I've stayed in the Willow because it is so pretty.

My week in my Filofax #19

I have been very busy behind the scenes planning not one but two new features for this blog so it has been an exciting week for me.  Lots of emails going back and forth and ideas being discussed, I can't wait to get started!  Hopefully I will be able to tell you more later in the week.  Oooo I'm being all mysterious!

On Thursday we adopted a rabbit called Ruby.  She is the sweetest little thing, I can't believe anyone would give her up to a charity but I am glad they did because now she is ours!  Isn't she cute!?

Ruby

It has been years since I have taken care of a bunny so I will be adding a new section to my planner with lists of things she can and can't eat and other info I need to keep track of.  I might even decorate the pages with the white rabbit washi tape that I used for my Easter week last month.  I swear it is like having another child, there is so much to remember and do!  It's completely worth it though, she's great.

Thanks for reading and have a great week!

My week #18

I know I did an Alice in Wonderland theme not too long ago but when I brought these stickers, which I wrote about here, I just had to use them!

My week in my Filofax #18

It is a bank holiday here in the UK today and I am writing this post while sat on the grass in the garden watching my children play in the sunshine (some kind of pirate game if you were wondering).  I haven't spotted a white rabbit running anywhere yet but there are a couple of cats who are crazy enough to be related to the Cheshire Cat... or maybe Tweedle Dumb and Tweedle Dee.

Close up

I can see some roses starting to bloom.  They are pink and white though so I don't think the Queen of Hearts would be very happy with them!  I have also found some mushrooms in a dark corner at the back of the garden but there is no philosophical caterpillar sitting upon one.  That is probably a good thing.  I don't fancy being ask to recite "How doth the little crocodile improve his shining tail." or any other poems today.

Close up

I feel like watching the Tim Burton version of the movie tonight, I wish I had it on DVD.  Maybe I could watch last night's episode of Once Upon A Time instead.  I think swooning over Hook and Emma Swan would be a nice end to a lovely day.

April Filofax photo-a-day challenge, week four

Here are the photos I took for the final week of the challenge.  I'm so sad it is over already!

Day twenty-two - starts with B

These carrots are actually bubble bars from Lush.  You swish one around the water in your bath and they make lots of fun bubbles and smell very nice.

Day twenty-two - starts with B

Day twenty-three - a name

My name on my Cute Organizing dividers.  They are A5 size and I really miss seeing this view now I have downsized to personal size.

Day twenty-three - a name

Day twenty-four - throwback Thursday

A year ago I was using my A5 Apex and these are the pages I decorated that week.  Yup it's another Alice in wonderland theme!

Day twenty-four - throwback Thursday

Day twenty-five - LOL!

I don't know if it's the idea of carrying a lippie around on my keys or just how small and cute it is, I can't quite put my finger on why this mini lipstick amuses me but it does!

Day twenty-five - LOL!

Day twenty-six - before

When I started using a Filofax I just had this one and I loved it so much I ended up with...

Day twenty-six - before

Day twenty-seven - after

.... all these!

Day twenty-seven - after

Day twenty-eight - underneath and day twenty-nine - sentimental

I cheated and combined two days again!  This is my Malden underneath some things that make me sentimental.  The flowers are the rose buttonhole my husband wore on our wedding day and a carnation taken from my bouquet. The pebble and shell were things we found on the beach when we went for a walk along it after the ceremony.  I feel all mushy now.

Days twenty-eight & twenty-nine - underneath
& sentimental

Day thirty -  monochrome

A monochrome peak inside my pencil case and filo.

Day thirty - monochrome

So that is the challenge completed, thank you again to Carla from Yay, for Fridays! for arranging it all.

If you want to join in a photo challenge this month check out my once a week one #filophotofriday for the information.

Thanks

#filophotofriday - April round up and May's prompts

Apologies, when I usually write these posts I include photos that other people have taken for my challenge.  Today I'm having a technical issue with Instagram and it won't load the photos when I search for the #filophotofriday tag so I can only show you my pics.

4th - pink

My Easter week pages were very, very pink.  I love the rabbit washi tape and the fun hole reinforcements.

Pink

11th - happy

I know I already showed you my cupcake charm during this post but it was upside down in that photo and I really wanted to show it off the right way round!  Look at that little smile!  It definitely makes me happy.  If you want your own cupcake charm you can contact Ruth through her Etsy shop, she's lovely and very helpful.

Happy

18th - Easter

You can't get much more Eastery (that's a word right?) than a hot cross bun and a chocolate bunny!  I ate the bun after I took this shot but the rabbit went back in the cupboard because it wasn't Easter Sunday and I'm a good girl.

Easter

25th - treat

A big mug of hot chocolate and an almond croissant is one of my favourite treats.

Treat

Here are the prompts for May, anyone with any kind of planner can join in.

May's prompts

Take your photo during the week and then share it on Friday with the #filophotofriday tag on Instagram and Twitter.  Thank you to everyone who played along this month!  I did see your photos as they were posted, it's just today when the feed wouldn't refresh for me to choose my favourites to share.

Have a great week!

My week #17

Are you ready for another colourful week?  I don't know why but when I use these rainbow enforcements from Annies Paper Boutique I just have to splash my pages with colour to match them!

My week in my Filofax #17

The quote I used this week was "Today is a gift" yeah I'm quoting Kung Fu Panda now and using stickers to match it!  The whole thing goes:

Yesterday is history,
tomorrow is a mystery,
but today is a gift,
that's why it's called the "present".

Ok, so I know it was said by an ancient cartoon tortoise but it still feels quite profound to me.  I like to remind myself to enjoy the now instead of worrying about things I can't change either in the past or future.

Close up

I was going to use the stickers I brought from Artbox to highlight important dates in my diary but I liked them so much when I opened them that I used one for every day this week.  Can you see I followed the colours of the rainbow with them too?  Except for pink at the end that is, I couldn't find two different shades of purple so I went with a pink one.  Look at me, breaking the rules!

Close up

I have toned down my pages for next week so you wont be needing your sunglasses but you might need a pocket watch and a small piece of cake...
