#filophotofriday - April round up and May's prompts

Apologies, when I usually write these posts I include photos that other people have taken for my challenge.  Today I'm having a technical issue with Instagram and it won't load the photos when I search for the #filophotofriday tag so I can only show you my pics.

4th - pink

My Easter week pages were very, very pink.  I love the rabbit washi tape and the fun hole reinforcements.

Pink

11th - happy

I know I already showed you my cupcake charm during this post but it was upside down in that photo and I really wanted to show it off the right way round!  Look at that little smile!  It definitely makes me happy.  If you want your own cupcake charm you can contact Ruth through her Etsy shop, she's lovely and very helpful.

Happy

18th - Easter

You can't get much more Eastery (that's a word right?) than a hot cross bun and a chocolate bunny!  I ate the bun after I took this shot but the rabbit went back in the cupboard because it wasn't Easter Sunday and I'm a good girl.

Easter

25th - treat

A big mug of hot chocolate and an almond croissant is one of my favourite treats.

Treat

Here are the prompts for May, anyone with any kind of planner can join in.

May's prompts

Take your photo during the week and then share it on Friday with the #filophotofriday tag on Instagram and Twitter.  Thank you to everyone who played along this month!  I did see your photos as they were posted, it's just today when the feed wouldn't refresh for me to choose my favourites to share.

Have a great week!

My week #17

Are you ready for another colourful week?  I don't know why but when I use these rainbow enforcements from Annies Paper Boutique I just have to splash my pages with colour to match them!

My week in my Filofax #17

The quote I used this week was "Today is a gift" yeah I'm quoting Kung Fu Panda now and using stickers to match it!  The whole thing goes:

Yesterday is history,
tomorrow is a mystery,
but today is a gift,
that's why it's called the "present".

Ok, so I know it was said by an ancient cartoon tortoise but it still feels quite profound to me.  I like to remind myself to enjoy the now instead of worrying about things I can't change either in the past or future.

I was going to use the stickers I brought from Artbox to highlight important dates in my diary but I liked them so much when I opened them that I used one for every day this week.  Can you see I followed the colours of the rainbow with them too?  Except for pink at the end that is, I couldn't find two different shades of purple so I went with a pink one.  Look at me, breaking the rules!

I have toned down my pages for next week so you wont be needing your sunglasses but you might need a pocket watch and a small piece of cake...

Thanks for reading!

April Filofax photo-a-day challenge, week three

April is flying by, I can't believe the third week is already over!  Here are the photos I took last week for the photo-a-day challenge.

Day fifteen - where you live

In books!  I get completely immersed in a good book, their world becomes my world.  I cry when they cry and laugh when they laugh, sometimes when I finish a book I feel a bit lost finding myself back in real life instead of the one found inside the pages I have been reading.  I think it's called a book hangover?

Day fifteen - where you live

Day sixteen - wanted!

I wanted this set of art cards from Ikea when I saw them on Instagram!  I'm not sure whether I want to punch them and put them in my Malden as they go so well together or frame them and put them up around the house.

Day sixteen - wanted

Day seventeen - something made

Every now and then I feel the need to get crafty and make something.  I am a bit of a dab hand at making headbands for my girls now so this is one I made recently.  I was going to keep it for myself but I'm not sure it's a look I can pull off and my eldest claimed it for herself the minute it was finished anyway.

Day seventeen - something made

Day eighteen - very special and Day nineteen - floral

I feel like a bit of a cheat combining two days together but it's been hard to keep on track with this challenge while the children are at home from school.  These flowers are special because they are from my husband and ,well, they are definitely floral!

Days eighteen & nineteen - very special & floral

Day twenty - plans for today

I didn't really have a plan for Easter Sunday other than having family visit us and eating chocolate!  It was a very enjoyable day.

Day twenty - plans for today

Day twenty-one - stickies

I love this booklet of Rilakkuma sticky notes, they are very very cute.

Day twenty-one - stickies

There is still time to join in with the challenge, it is open to any kind of planner users and not just Filofaxes.  It is a lot of fun!

My week #16

This week's theme was bunnies, can you tell!?  I couldn't think of a better week than Easter to use this pink washi tape, it is so cute.

My week in my Filofax #16

I think my pages make me look a lot busier than I actually was, a lot of the reminders are to do with the photo challenges I am taking part in and the extra decoration makes them look fuller too.  It was nice to have a bit more room to play this week as I didn't need to write a lot of school reminders on the pages.

My little Artbox haul and a discount code for you!

During National Stationery Week I decided to treat myself to a few things from Artbox.  I love browsing their website and I often do "fantasy baskets" where I add everything into my cart that I would like to buy if only I had a spare fifty quid to spend on stationery and kawaii goodies.

My Artbox goodies

I love Alice in Wonderland so I just HAD to buy these stickers and I thought the other two packets would be good for highlighting important dates on my diary pages.

Alice in Wonderland and planner stickers

I have also loved the Moomins since I used to watch the cartoon when I was little.  I thought I would punch one of these postcards and make it into a divider for my Filofax and I am sending the other one to a friend of mine who is a fan too.

Moomin postcards

The last couple of things I brought were this cute toadstool card and a roll of washi tape.  The toadstool is a magnet so you can take it off the card and keep it and the inside of the card is blank so you can use it for any occasion.  The Sugar Hotel washi tape is a nice bright stripy orange pattern and it was on special offer when I brought it.

Speaking of special offers Artbox have a couple of promotions going on this Easter weekend.  They are offering free UK delivery with 2nd class shipping on orders placed over Easter (no code required just select the 2nd class postage option) AND they have given me a discount code to pass onto you for 10% off anything you order this Saturday (the 19th April).  You can combine these two offers so if you order on Saturday you will get free postage and 10% off with the code:

0V5HED

(the code starts with a zero and not an O)

If you click on the Artbox photo below it will direct you to the website and I would be paid a small commission fee on anything you order.  Think of me like an Avon lady for stationery!

I'm pretty sure this will be my last post this week so I will wish you all a happy Easter now, I hope you have a nice time however you spend the holiday!

April Filofax photo-a-day challenge, week two

So when I wrote my Week #15 post on Monday I wished everyone a happy Easter as I didn't think I would be writing anything else before Friday.  I had completely forgotten about this round up!  Why?  Because I hadn't put it in my Filofax!  It just goes to show if I don't write it down I will probably forget it.

Day eight - spinal

These are the two filos I am currently using, the Willow as my planner and the Chameleon as my purse.

Day eight - spinal

Day nine - upside down

How cute is this cupcake charm from xoxRufus?  Ruth made it for me in colours to match my Willow so they go together perfectly.  I love her Etsy shop Kawaii Studios, it is full of sweet little charms and cuteness.

Day nine - upside down

Day ten - artistic

Black and white arty type shot of the Willow.

Day ten - artistic

Day eleven - eating

Some mornings only tea and crumpets will do and having them while using my Cath Kidston mug and plate makes them even better!

Day eleven - eating

Day twelve - right this minute

I was outside enjoying the sunshine and birdsong.  I simply love this time of year!

Day twelve - right this minute

Day thirteen - highlight of my day

There is no doubt that reaching 200 followers on Bloglovin was the highlight of my week so far let alone the day!

Day thirteen - highlight of my day

Day fourteen - script

My awful handwriting, it took about six attempts before I was happy enough to take a photo of it.

Thanks for reading and have a great week!

My week #15

After a few pretty themes I felt like doing something more fun this week.  If you have read my blog before you might know that I love foxes so this week was inspired by the song What does the fox say? I have to point out if you haven't heard of it before and click the link, it is completely bonkers and very catchy but I like it.

My week in my Filofax #15

I had quite a quiet week, it felt like the first time in ages that I had no appointments or commitments but it was nice after being so busy recently.  The school holidays started on Friday so I think the next two weeks will be relatively relaxed too.

I was hoping that some of the things I won during National stationery week would have arrived by now so I could do some reviews for you but so far the postman has only brought me the usual bills and junk mail so I am still waiting.  Oh well I guess it means I have more things to look forward to this week!

I'm not sure if I will be posting anything again before Friday so I will wish you all a happy Easter now just in case!

April Filofax photo-a-day challenge, week one

April saw the start of another Yay, for Fridays! photo challenge so I am doing my usual weekly round up of the photos I have taken during it.  As I started writing this post I realised the challenge is a year old now so I want to say congratulations to Carla and thank you for keep on coming up with new ideas for us all!

Day one - I heart..

.. being colourful!  This is the front page of my art journal and it is full of colourful doodles and abstract drawings.

Day one -I heart..

Day two - A is for..

adorable!  I just love these cute paperclips my friend sent me.

Day two - A is for..

Day three - On my dashboard

I keep this sticky note with the quote "Worrying doesn't change tomorrow, it ruins today." on my dashboard because I am such a worrier.  There is also some clear sticky arrows and a magnetic bookmark so I can find the page easily.

Day three - On my dashboard

Day four - No.1

My Chameleon was my first real leather Filofax and it got me hooked.  I spent some time yesterday setting it back up as my purse and it still has it's nice leather smell even though it's a year old now.

Day four - No.1

Day five - Up close and personal

This is a close up shot of the top of my Willow filofax now I am all moved into her.

Day five- Up close and personal

Day six - Writing with

I have started writing with a fountain pen again recently.  I don't use it on my Filofax pages because it tends to leak through to the other side but I like to use it if I am writing a letter or a card.

Day six - Writing with

Day seven - List it

A little list of things I want to get done this month and a few ideas of things I want to do with my children during the Easter holidays.

Day seven - List it

If you want to join in you can find all the details here or if you think a daily challenge is too much for you, you could have a go at my once a week challenge #filophotofriday

National Stationery Week - My week #14

Last Monday was the start of National Stationery week here in the UK so I spent some time on Twitter and Facebook joining in with the fun.  Each day had a different theme;

Monday was pencil day
Tuesday was notebook day
Wednesday was pen and ink day
Thursday was tidy desk day
Friday was pencil case day
Saturday was get organised day
Sunday was write a letter day

If you follow me on Instagram or my Facebook page you will have seen I posted a photo for each day.

Pencil day

Notebook day

Pen and ink day

Tidy desk day

Pencil case day

Get organised day

Write a letter day

I had a lot of fun connecting with people who share my stationery addiction and entering competitions.  I won a couple of prizes and some freebies so once I receive them I will be writing some reviews to share with you.  I also discovered a lot of new companies and brands who I might not have found it if hadn't been for the week so it will be nice to try them out and see what they are like.

My Week in my Filofax #14

For my pages this week I went with a pretty pink and purple theme.  I am still feeling the joys of spring and my Willow Filofax just makes me want to make everything sweet and girly.
