My week #43

It's another autumn theme this week.  I love how the gold, orange and brown all go together, they remind me of rust coloured leaves and shiny conkers!

My week in my Filofax #43

The quote I used at the top of the page says...

"Autumn is here inside
my heart."

... but looking at it now, it could sound a bit depressing!

Everyone in the house has been ill at some point during the week.  I'm glad there is no school this week so we can relax and recuperate for a bit now.  I could happily sit on the sofa, in my pjs and under a blanket watching kid friendly "scary" movies for the rest of the week but I have to start getting things ready for Halloween.  Those pumpkins aren't going to buy and carve themselves!

Mrs Brimbles October photo challenge - week three

Hello!  This is my round up for the third week of the Mrs Brimbles October photo challenge, here are my pics...

Day fifteen - Selfie

Sorry no planner in this one, just little old me!  I tried to fit it in but didn't have enough hands to hold it and take a photo at the same time.

Day fifteen - selfie

Day sixteen - Favourite

This quote card is definitely one of my favourites and I've always been a little obsessed with glitter.

Day sixteen - favourite

Day seventeen - Orange

The lovely Mrs Brimbles AKA Anna sent me a note in this sweet envelope a while back and if the prompt is "orange" then I have to include something with a fox on it!

Day seventeen - orange

Day eighteen - Words

These are good words to live by and I love seeing them in my planner each day.  The dashboard and my dividers both came from Just Keep Pinning on Etsy and they go perfectly together!

Day eighteen - word

Day nineteen - So me

I have a weakness for expensive toiletries but I don't often get to buy any.  My amazing in-laws gave me this body cream last weekend and it is very me.  It smells nice and has a glittery shimmer, I'm planning to sparkle right through to 2015!

Day nineteen - so me

Day twenty - Snuggly

Talking of my in-laws my mother in-law made this Winnie the Pooh blanket for my children when they were smaller.  We all like to snuggle underneath it when the weather is chilly.

Day twenty - snuggly

Day twenty-one - Marker

I love this page marker from Cute Organizing, I brought a set of them over a year and a half ago and they all still look brand new!

My week #42

I really moustache you a question, do you like my washi tape?  I loved the moustache craze last year and when I saw this tape it was colourful and covered in cute little 'staches so I couldn't resist it!

My week in  my Filofax #42

I don't think my week looks overly busy but it felt it, the days flew past and suddenly it was Monday again!  I am really looking forward to Friday as it is the start of the half term holiday and I might be all caught up again by then.

The highlight of my week was receiving a parcel to review, I am so excited to tell you all about it but I can't just yet.  Sorry to be mysterious, I'm not sure if I am allowed to say anything more for now.

Thanks for stopping by!

Mrs Brimbles October photo challenge - week two

Week two of the challenge is already over, October is flying by!  I started to write this post yesterday but didn't get very far, it was raining most of the day so I decided to wrap myself up in a blanket and watch The Walking Dead instead.  I love cold, crisp autumn days but I'm not so keen on damp, soggy grey ones especially when I have to leave the house!  Today is clear and bright and I find myself feeling much more motivated.

Day eight - Couldn't Live Without...

I honestly couldn't live without some kind of diary or planner and pens!  I just can't keep track of everything I need to remember in my head any more.

Day eight - couldn't live without...

Day nine - Purple

Here are a selection of some of my purple planner goodies, the tortoise dashboard from Mrs Brimbles is so sweet.

Day nine - purple

Day ten - Writing

I mix it up between using planner stamps and writing in my diary.  Oh and always lots of colours too!

Day ten - writing

Day eleven - Preparation

It really is time to start thinking about Christmas, if I can spread things out over the next three months December wont be as hectic!

Day eleven - preparation

Day twelve - Warm Drink

A very yummy cup of caramel hot chocolate, it was delicious!

Day twelve - warm drink

Day thirteen - What Autumn Means To Me

Creamy coffee drinks, woolly gloves, autumn skies, Lush's Christmas line of bath treats and quite a few birthdays are all things that I look forward at this time of year.

Day thirteen - what autumn means to me

Day fourteen - Crafted

I used to be really good at cross stitch but I haven't done any in a while, this floral bookmark is one of my favourite craft projects I have made.

Day fourteen - crafted

Are you joining in with the challenge?  Let me know where I can see your photos, I would love to take a look.

My week #41

I brought this cute cupcake washi tape a couple of weeks ago and couldn't wait to use it, I love it!  The colours are so pretty and match my pastel rainbow reinforcements which are also a new favourite.

My week in my Filofax #41

I didn't have any cake stickers so I doodled some cupcakes instead, copying the ones on the tape.  I googled quotes about cupcakes and found this one....

"Make the world a better place
one cupcake at a time"

... and liked the idea.  Life is better with frosting and sprinkles, right?

I reached 400 followers through Bloglovin' at the end of the week, yay!!  I am getting together some prizes for another giveaway to celebrate so keep an eye out for that soon!

Have a great week and thanks for stopping by!

Planner Friday - October

It's Planner Friday again over on Twine it up with Trendy Twine, pop over if you would like read my latest design team post.

Hello, I am Amanda from She's Eclectic and I write a monthly Planner Friday post here on Twine it up with Trendy Twine.  I think that prettying up your planner pages makes it easier to stay organised.  If my pages were plain I wouldn't refer to my Filofax as often during the day and then I would forget things and get myself in a muddle!

I went with a cupcake theme this week, you can see the products I used in the photo below.  A couple of strips of washi tape and some Trendy Page Dot reinforcements and my diary pages are much more colourful and fun!

I have recently started using the School Days Planner Stamp Set, it is incredibly handy now I have two children in school and one in nursery/preschool!

You can read the rest of my post here and get a sneak peek of my Halloween themed week too.

Thanks for stopping by!

Mrs Brimbles October photo challenge - week one

I am joining in with Mrs Brimbles October photo challenge this month, it has been a while since I took part in a challenge so I thought I would share my photos with you.

Day one - Autumn Time

I really think colourful leaves sum up autumn perfectly and they look beautiful next to my ochre Malden.

Day one - Autumn Time

Day two - Brown

I like my tea a nice strong brown colour and not milky, I also love this brown woodland washi tape I have used to decorate my November overview page.

I studied this book for my A level in English Literacy but I am enjoying reading it again now and noticing things that I didn't the first time around.

Day six - Current Read

Day seven - I Made This...

A little while ago I made this zombie bunny paperclip (she's a zombie because I only had green felt at home when I made her) and now it is nearly Halloween I can use her in my planner!

My week #40

This week my love affair with autumn continued, I found this quote by Albert Camus...
"Autumn is a second spring
when ever leaf
is a flower"

and based my whole week around it.  I have always loved to see the leaves change colour this time of year, the fiery reds are my favourite.  They make plain old green seem boring by comparison!

My week in my Filofax #40

The Mrs Brimbles photo challenge started on Wednesday so I have written down all of the daily prompts to remind me to do them.  I will be sharing my photos on here too as a weekly round up post so keep an eye out for the first one of those on Wednesday.  I've had a lot of fun doing the challenge so far, especially because it has an autumn theme!
