Mrs Brimbles photo challenge - week three

Are you ready for some more planner pics and autumnal themes?  Here are my photos for the third week of Mrs Brimbles challenge.

Day fifteen - Leaves

If you read my blog regularly you will know I just love the colours the leaves change to in Autumn! Bright yellows, burnt oranges, vibrant reds and deep browns all look so pretty as they lay on the ground.

Day fifteen - Leaves

Day sixteen - Selfie

I didn't feel like taking a selfie today so I showed off my selfie washi tape and photography themed stationery instead.

Day sixteen - Selfie

Day seventeen - Out and about

In all honesty I haven't been out and about anywhere other than to the school and back during this week of the challenge so I don't have a pic for this prompt yet.  If I go anywhere fun next week I will take my planner and camera with me!

Day eighteen - Dashboard

As it is nearly Halloween I have this spooky postcard as my dashboard.  If you don't recognise her it is Lydia from Beetlejuice, one of my all time favourite comedy/horror films!

Day eighteen - Dashboard

Day nineteen - Cosy

I am keeping nice and cosy with my owl gloves and a little dab of American Cream perfume from Lush.  It smells of vanilla with a hint of strawberry and is a warm and comforting scent, perfect for chilly days.

Day nineteen - Cosy

Day twenty - Soup season

I love soup, I eat it all the time but it is best during the colder months.  Nothing beats a nice warm bowl when you've been outside in the wind and the rain.

Day twenty - Soup season

Day twenty one & twenty three - Apples & Conkers

I had to do these two prompts together as I could only find one little, lonely conker!  We have one horse chestnut tree near my house and it is outside a school so managing to find conkers is quite hard when the children get to them first.

Day twenty one & twenty three - Apples & Conkers

Day twenty two - Decorate

I don't just decorate my pages I also decorate my planner pockets too.  When I brought this Van der Spek organiser I was planning on using it as my purse and a planner but then I was given a fabulous flamingo purse so I am using that instead which means all these card slots are superfluous.  I just have a few business cards in them at the moment so I thought I would pretty the rest up.

Day twenty two - decorate

That's it for now, I will share my final week's photos with you soon!

Thanks for stopping by!

My week #42

I think this week might be one of my favourite weeks ever!  I went for a mooch around town and found myself outside a Paperchase store so of course I went in.  They had so many cute stickers and fab stationery bits that I felt quite giddy walking through the shop and looking at it all.

My week #42

I love foxes and woodland animals and the colour of these stickers felt very autumnal too so I decided to grab myself a set and use them right away.  I matched them with peach washi tapes and orange and brown Trendy Page Dots reinforcements.  The pièce de résistance is the Sass & Belle stag head paper clip, I think it is really fun!  I can see me using it in December too as it also looks like a festive reindeer.

My week #41

October is usually welly weather and I have been trying to grab a roll of this washi tape from Cloudy Cow for a while now but it kept selling out so fast I have only just managed to get my hands on one!  I love how colourful and cheerful it is, perfect for brightening up a wet and gloomy week.

My week #41

I am starting to get into a rhythm now school has been back for a few weeks, it was weird being home alone all day at first but I am slowly getting used to it.  I do want to start being more productive with my time though, I have a long list of things I want to get done before the end of November so I need to get on with them!  Actually when I say the end of November what I really mean is before I start getting ready for Christmas but I don't want to make anyone panic just yet!

Mrs Brimbles photo challenge - week two

I have just completed the second week of Mrs Brimbles photo challenge and I am really enjoying the autumnal prompts!  Here is a round up of my pics.

Day eight - Journal

I am still using my Lokta journal for doodling and sketching.  I also use some project life cards and journalling stamps in this Nu Era Pop notebook when I want to record my feelings or occasions I would like to remember.

Day eight - Journal

Day nine - Warm drink

Now the days are getting cooler I like to treat myself to a coffee once I have dropped my girls off at school.  If I am feeling really naughty I'll grab a gingerbread man too!

Day nine - Warm drink

Day ten - Colours of Autumn

This pumpkin dashboard by Mrs Brimbles perfectly encompasses all the colours of autumn.  Anna sent it to me last year and looking at it now I think it might have inspired the colours I picked for my Van der Spek organiser!

Day ten - Colours of Autumn

Day eleven - Orange

I don't have a lot of orange stationery but this divider has some peachy orange flowers on it and I dug out a pen and pencil too for this shot.

Day eleven - Orange

Day twelve - Memories

These Paperchase stickers remind me of our trips London, I thought they were really fun and I can't wait to use them in my planner.

Day twelve - memories

Day thirteen - Book

I am currently reading Motive by Jonathan Kellerman, I love a good murder mystery!  No spoilers please if you have already read it.

Day thirteen - Book

Day fourteen - To do

I write myself daily to do lists and sometimes weekly ones depending on how busy I am.  This is my list for the weekend, it is nice and short thankfully.

Day fourteen - To do

So we are nearly half way through the challenge but you can still join in if you like, you can find all the prompts here.  I will be back next week to share more photos with you.

Thanks for stopping by!

Planner Friday - October

Planner Friday has whizzed around again!  My post is now up over on Twine it up with Trendy Twine if you want to pop over and say hi.

Hello!  I seriously can't believe that it is October already, it is like the year sped up once we hit September!  Anyway I have a jam packed post for you today so lets get started.  First off I want to show you my pages for this week, October tends to be wet and grey here in the UK so I wanted to do a theme that reflected that but I also wanted to inject a bit of colour too to brighten my day.

Planning my week

I used the weather stamps for decoration and lightly coloured the clouds and rain drops in.  I love how cute they look with their little smiley faces!  As usual I used the At Home and School Days sets to stamp in my reminders and to do lists and the Check It Off set for my check boxes and highlighting important dates like today.

My week #40

The start of October got me excited for Halloween, I wanted to do a dark theme to welcome in the new month but not go all out creepy just yet.  I thought black and purple was quite Halloween-esk without being too full on!

My week #40

My week felt a lot busier than it looks!  I had quiet a few meetings to attend and I got cracking on the list of blog posts I wanted to write.  I also started Mrs Brimbles photo challenge and I'm working on some more things behind the scenes at the moment so I am a busy bee.

Mrs Brimbles photo challenge - week one

It has been ages since I have taken part in a photo challenge so when I saw Mrs Brimbles was doing her October challenge again I decided to take the plunge and join in!

Day one - October

I decorated my pages to welcome in October last week.  I also picked the last rose of summer from my garden as I was so surprised to find it still in bloom at this time of the year and I wanted to document it.

Day one - October

Day two - Brown

My two brown beauties!  I am still absolutely in love with my Van der Spek organiser but my ochre Malden will always have a place in my heart too.  Don't they look lovely together?

Day two - Brown

Day three - Autumnal

One of my favourite things about this time of year is seeing the leaves change colour.  I found a quote last year that said "Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower." and I still think it is very true.  I love seeing bright red leaves and every shade in between through to yellow and green ones, they remind me of the natural beauty that is all around if you take the time to look for it.

Day three - Autumnal

Day four - So me

My new watch is so me!  I hate taking my phone out of my pocket or bag to see what the time is, I would much rather wear a watch and check that instead.  I especially like this one as the strap is real leather, it is rose gold and sparkly, so yes it really is very me.

Day four - So me

Day five - I made this

Last year I made a zombie bunny paper clip and used it for Halloween so this year I decided to make a new one.  I brought this washi tape from Cloudy Cow and made a creepy cat clip to match it.

Day five - I made this

Day six - Favourite & Day seven - Snugly

My Van der Spek organiser is my all time favourite planner, I mean it was custom made to my specifications so it is perfect to me!  The body warmer is super snugly and the print reminds me of a Cath Kidston design.  Unfortunately it is not mine, it is my daughter's!  I am very jealous!

Day six - Favourite & Day seven - Snugly

If you would like to join in with the challenge you can find all the prompts here on Mrs Brimbles blog.

Thanks for stopping by!

My week #39

I am feeling full of autumn spirit at the moment!  The leaves have started falling, the days are getting a little shorter and this is still my favourite time of year.  Now, bunnies and carrots might not seem like much of an autumnal theme but the browns and oranges drew me towards this washi tape so I just went with it.

My week #39

Last Friday I published my 300th blog post, it feels like kind of a big milestone to me!  I like to record these moments so I can look back and see how far things have come since I started writing this blog back in 2013.  I also have a long lists of posts I want to get done now my youngest has started school and I am home alone all day.  I need to fire up my laptop, make myself a nice big mocha and get started!
