My week #3

I was very lucky to get some money for Christmas so in January I hit Etsy hard and found lots of lovely new shops to buy planning supplies from.  Yup, I'm still a stationery addict!  This week I used a gorgeous set of stickers from Isabelle The Owl to decorate my pages and I paired them with a couple of rolls of washi tape from Jadiescrafts

My week #3

The stickers are sized for different planners, personal, Erin Condren, Happy Planner etc so you can find a set that will fit yours perfectly and using a kit means they all match a theme and look great together.  I have always loved anything with stags on and combining that with gold and pastel colours made this a must have sheet for me!

I'm not sure if you can tell from these photos but the heart washi I have used is a rose gold foil tape, it is really pretty.  The pink glitter washi tape added a little extra sparkle too.

Have you discovered any new stationery sellers recently?  Leave me a comment below so I can check them out too please!

My week #2

After last week's bright colours I decided to go for a pastel palette this time.  I was given a cute sheet of stickers by The Library Designs as part of a RAK (random act of kindness) a little while ago and wanted to use them too.  The planner sticker reminds me of the nude Original Filofax which I have always loved!

My week #2

I am really enjoying being able to use my new inserts however I need to.  At the moment my days are quite quiet so I am using the second set of boxes on Monday to Friday for my lists and notes etc.  When I get busier and need more space for my daily to dos and reminders I can change labels on the boxes and use two per day instead.  My weekends are nearly always quiet so a single box for each day is fine for those.

My week #52

Christmas already seems like it was ages ago but I wanted to share my first week in my new inserts with you.

My week #52

You might remember I trialled the vertical layout from Just So Stationery last year and really liked it.  The first set I tried had the day split into Morning, Afternoon and Evening, this design has unlabelled boxes for each day making them more versatile for me.

Being the last week of the year I didn't have much on so I had plenty of space to play with.  I used the Title It set of stamps to make my own headings for some of the boxes giving me room for my shopping list, notes, to dos and blog ideas.

Have you changed things up for a new year in your planner?  I'd love to know!

Playing catch up - My week #27

I can't quite remember how I came across Little Rainbow Moon on Etsy but I fell in love with the shop straight away!  The first thing I just had to have was this gorgeous dream catcher washi tape and then I added some cute stickers and a few more rolls of washi into my basket as well.

Before the ink

I know I don't usually show you my pages before I have written or stamped on them but because the dream catcher tape is so thick the only place I could use it on my planner pages was down the centre and I wanted you to see how nice it looks!

My week #27

I used a pastel purple ink for my stamps which is a bit difficult to photograph but I could read my to do lists and reminders easily in real life.

I wanted to create a really pretty theme for this week as it was the week my husband and I celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary!  He was working on the actual day so we had to wait until he was off before we could go out but we had a lovely meal together on the Friday and cocktails... yum!

I have one more week to show you from before I started dirty planning (just pen, no decoration) during the summer break and then a couple of weeks from September when I started decorating my weekly spreads again and then we should be up to date!

My week #26

This week I used the last of the vertical layout sample pages I was given by Kirsty from Just So Stationery.  They were dated for the beginning of June so I used a bit of correction tape to change the numbers which you can see but it doesn't really bother me.

My week #26

I also decided to use the Evening sections differently this week, I covered up the headings with a strip of washi tape and added my own.  They are Happiness, Brain Dump, Finances, Shopping List and Thoughts.  I liked having these little spaces for notes and reminders and it made the inserts work even more for me.

I am very tempted to order some more of this style layout, I have really enjoyed using them!  I do already have a set of Just of Stationery horizontal pages that will last me until the end of the year though and I don't want to waste them (I hate being wasteful!).  I will have to make my mind up soon or it will suddenly be 2017 and time to buy new inserts anyway!

My week #25

You might have seen most of this week's layout in my Planner Friday post on the Trendy Twine blog but here it is completely filled in.

My week #25

I really like the vertical layout, it has been nice to change up how I do my weekly planning.  As the days are split into Morning, Afternoon and Evening I had space to record my meals throughout the week but as the days went on I realised that it wasn't really working for me.  I think if I was to use the Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner stamps again it would be for planning the meals ahead instead so I can make sure I use things up before their use by date and add the bits I need to my shopping list so I am prepared.

I am spending this morning catching up on my My Week posts and scheduling them to publish over the next few days so keep an eye out for them if you want to see more of my layouts.

My week #24

This is my second week using the vertical inserts from Just So Stationery, I used some skinny washi tape around the edges of the pages this time and went back to using my Trendy Page Dot reinforcements.

My week #24

I know I have previously complained about not being able to read things written and stamped in yellow ink when I check my planner in the evening but it was such a sunny day when I was decorating the pages I was just drawn to the colour!  I made sure I checked my to dos and reminders while it was still light enough to read them this time and that worked just fine.

All of the stickers I used this week and last week are from Chocho And Mimi on Etsy, I think they are very cute!  Dani has an amazing range of stickers and I have an ever growing collection of them!  I love the little personalised thank you cards she adds to each order too, they are so pretty.

Did you take the The Pen Company's Big Stationery Survey during National Stationery Week?  Well the results are now in and I will be sharing them with you soon.  The good news is stationery love is still alive and kicking, we are not alone!

Getting out of my planner funk - changing things up (featuring my week #23)

In my last post I mentioned I had been in a bit of a planner funk recently and that I was going to change the weekly inserts I use to shake things up a little.  I had seen these vertical style inserts from Just So Stationery and loved the layout but I wasn't sure how well they would work for me day to day.  Kirsty (the lovely lady behind Just So Stationery) very kindly sent me a sample set so I could give them a go and I have to say I love them!

Vertical week on two pages

The week days are split into three boxes for Morning, Afternoon and Evening and there are a couple of spaces for notes at the top and bottom of each day.  The weekend has the same note spaces but just one box per day.  When I am using horizontal weekly inserts I like Saturday and Sunday to have the same amount of space as the rest of the week days but I don't mind them being smaller in this layout.

First half of my week

I wrote my daily reminders at the top of each day and used the space underneath to record my blog stats.  I also added my to do items to the section of the day I thought I would complete them.  I found it quite handy to have my days split into segments and I got used to the different style of layout quickly!

Second half of the week

Changing things up really helped me get my groove back, I have been using my organiser a lot more and I am enjoying spending time planning again.  The samples I was given are for the whole month of June so I have some more weekly spreads to show you using them.

I will also be back tomorrow for another Planner Friday so I hope to see you then!

My weeks 17, 18 & 19

I have been in a bit of a planning funk for the past few weeks, I haven't decorated my pages or used any stamps, coloured ink or washi tape!  I think it was a combination of feeling a bit meh, being busy and also ill.  I was still using my planner but I was just scribbling things down in pen and generally making a big mess while trying to keep all of my plates spinning.

I also didn't feel up to blogging so I have three weeks worth of pretty pages to show you that I did before the funk set in.

My week #17

Week #17 was National Stationery week so I had to keep the decoration down to a minimum as I needed lots of space for all of the blog posts I was writing and the daily themes.  I think I did 11 posts over 7 days which was a bit crazy!  I kept my pages bright and cheerful with washi tape and small stickers but as you can see the reminders and to do lists were my main focus for this week.

My week #18

My week #18 pages had a super kawaii theme with Hello Kitty stickers, sweet foodie stamps and washi tape.  Things were quite quiet for me so I had a lots of space to play with which was nice after my previous week!

My week #19

I think my week #19 pages are one of my favourite weeks ever, anyone who has been following my blog for a while will know that I am a sucker for an Alice in Wonderland theme!  This one was based around the Mad Hatter's tea party and I just love how it turned out!

I think this may have started my planning funk though!  When I began decorating my week #20 pages I just kept thinking they looked a bit rubbish compared to week #19, in the end I didn't even finish them and it all spiralled from there.  So I have decided to shake things up a little now!  I have been sent some samples from Just So Stationery of a week on two page vertical layout and I am going to give them a go and see how I get on.  I think a change will help me get my groove back!

My weeks 5 & 6

I am a little behind with sharing my weekly layouts so I'm combining two weeks into this post to help me catch up.

My week #5

This week was inspired by the rainbow coloured hearts washi tape I used and I went full on girly and fun.  I love seeing a splash of colour when I check my to do lists and reminders!

My week #5

I have launched my Instagram giveaway which is the final competition I am running for my 3rd blogiversary.  You can enter this one here, all of the information you need is in the post.

I entered a photo comp myself for Leuchtturm 1917 to celebrate their new notebook colours which are pink and army green.  You had to choose between the two colours and share a photo that represented your choice.  I decided to be on team pink and I submitted this as my entry.

#PinkOrGreenLT1917

Unfortunately I didn't win a prize but I really liked my photo so I thought I would share it with you any way.  There are quite a few of my favourite products in it and it is all super pink!

My week #6

My week #6 pages were quite plain and boring.  I wasn't keen on the dark colours I had used for them and that left me feeling uninspired and a bit blah about the whole week!  I think as the week before had been so colourful and busy I was trying to balance it out with a more simple look for this week but I don't really like how it turned out.

My week #1

The first week of 2016 and I finally got to use my Just So Stationery inserts, I absolutely love the quality of the paper and the pretty pink accents!

My week #1

January is usually when people start their health kicks but to be honest I was still in Christmas mode and that influenced my cookie and cake theme.  I didn't have much on as we were all still on holiday from work and school, in fact apart from the start of the new year the most important thing in my planner was my reminder to watch the latest episode of Sherlock!  It was brilliant by the way!

My week #40

The start of October got me excited for Halloween, I wanted to do a dark theme to welcome in the new month but not go all out creepy just yet.  I thought black and purple was quite Halloween-esk without being too full on!

My week #40

My week felt a lot busier than it looks!  I had quiet a few meetings to attend and I got cracking on the list of blog posts I wanted to write.  I also started Mrs Brimbles photo challenge and I'm working on some more things behind the scenes at the moment so I am a busy bee.

Planning ahead - 2016 inserts from Just So Stationery and a discount code for you

As it's September it is time to start thinking about which diary inserts you are going to use next year.  Kirsty from Just So Stationery has sent me a set of her Whimsical pink week on two page inserts to show you today.

Whimsical pink 2016 inserts

The month and date of each day are highlighted in pretty watercolour style pink accents which look lovely.  The inserts are available in A5 and personal size, lined or unlined, horizontal or vertical and if pink is not your colour then you can choose a gorgeous shade of mint instead.

Just So Stationery

The paper is smooth and thick, a lot thicker than the standard Filofax inserts.  I would say it is slightly thicker than the Webster's Pages inserts too.  I have done a pen test today and it is really nice to write on with my fountain pen, there is no bleeding and it does not show through to the other side (I used turquoise ink).  I also stamped on the paper using tuxedo black ink and that has not shown through either.  I wanted to take a photo to show you my test but it has been raining all day and it is so grey and dark I can't get a decent picture.  I wish I had done it at the weekend when I took the rest of these shots!

Monday start and a section for notes

As you can see the week starts on a Monday which is how I prefer it and there is a section for any notes you might want to make at the bottom of the right hand page.  The day and note sections are all the same size as the boxes on my Filofax and Webster's Pages inserts so I wont need to adjust how I set out my to do lists and reminders and all of my stamps will still fit.

Close up of the pages

At the moment Just So Stationery only deliver within the UK but if you live further a field you can register your interest here and if international delivery becomes an option you will get an email to let you know.

If you are looking for some organisation inserts then Just So Stationery has wide range of those too, from to do list and notes to health and fitness tracking and meal planning.  If you want them all or can't decide which you need you can order sample sets and see which work best for you.

Have you have spotted something you fancy? You can have 10% off your order if you use this discount code:
